Your use of this website, donations, purchases, and membership are governed by these terms.
These terms apply to your use of Victorian Endowment for the Advancement of the Electronic Arts Inc. (“VEAEA”, “we”) and all transactions made through this website. By using the site or making a donation, you agree to these terms.
About us
VEAEA is a registered Australian charity (ABN 24 619 030 300). We are governed by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Donations
- Donations are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD) by eWay (Global Payments), our PCI-DSS certified payment processor.
- Donations of $2 or more to VEAEA are tax-deductible. A receipt will be emailed to the address you provide at checkout. Keep this for your tax records.
- Monthly donations recur on the same day each month using a secure customer token stored by eWay. You can cancel any time by emailing info@veaea.org — we'll stop billing and send confirmation within two business days.
- Donations are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law or in cases of clear processing error. If you believe a donation was charged in error, contact us within 30 days.
Shop purchases
- All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable.
- Orders ship within Australia only. We aim to dispatch within 5 business days unless otherwise stated on the product page.
- Returns and refunds: Faulty or incorrectly described items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund or replacement. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted on physical goods. Email info@veaea.org before sending anything back.
Membership
Membership applications are reviewed by the VEAEA committee. Acceptance is at our discretion, in line with our governing rules. Membership does not confer any financial interest in the organisation.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site to harm others or transmit malicious code.
- Attempt to bypass security, CAPTCHA, or rate-limiting controls.
- Reproduce our content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
- Use the site in ways that violate Australian law.
Content
Site content (text, images, code) is © VEAEA unless otherwise marked. Third-party imagery is used with permission or under fair-dealing provisions. If you believe we've used your work in error, email us and we'll address it promptly.
Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, VEAEA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how we use it.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated to existing donors and members by email where practical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in Victorian courts.
