Bagel looks up at D'Ni57er from the roof. The dog's eyes in this panel catch the first light of dawn — not yet sunrise, but the first suggestion of it on the horizon. Bagel's eyes are completely clear. No Kelipah anywhere near them. Dogs cannot be touched by the Kelipah of Netzach. Bagel has been in pure Shabbat-drift mode his entire life. D'Ni57er looks down at Bagel. He understands something for the first time that Bagel has always known.
